This mineral has some of the oldest societal uses tracing back to the Mesopotamians where it was traded between the Egyptians.  It was always considered a stone of royalty in the past and was also  used in the eyeshadow of Cleopatra, among other things such as to make painting pigments.
 
Lapis Lazuli is a stone that may assist you in truth, balance, wisdom, disorganization, immune system, promotes courage, throat chakra, communication, and clarity of the mind.  This stone is associated with the third eye and encourages self-awareness and self-expression.
